Country visit
STOCKHOLM presented at a meeting hosted by CoES, the Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense in Tajikistan. The meeting was co-led by the World Food Programme and CoES and attended by key humanitarian logistics actors in the country. Attendees also received an introductory training on STOCKHOLM. On their request, ESUPS Team started looking at translating the platform and supporting materials into Russian.
Stock data collection
Stock data collection started, with support from focal point from Logistics Cluster Preparedness project in the country.
Disaster data analysis
As a first step towards having stock data displayed and analysed on STOCKHOLM, ESUPS retrieved, cleaned an analysed 40 years’ worth of disaster data in the country. The disaster data file is available on this page and a dynamic version of it can be accessed on STOCKHOLM.
Engagement
Several actors in Tajikistan (IFRC Europe Regional Office, local authorities) expressed their interest in running ESUPS analysis in the country, combined with using and promoting STOCKHOLM platform to consul information on pre-positioned stock. ESUPS also liaised with the Logistics Cluster Preparedness Project, which is active in the country.
