From 29 April to 10 May 2024, ESUPS participated in the Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks (HNPW).
Our team took the opportunity to make connections, engage in discussions, and explore opportunities to work together with other actors in the humanitarian sector.
Among the many important themes, HNPW 2024 highlighted the need for enhanced collaboration among humanitarian organisations. The impetus to use innovative solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of humanitarian assistance was clear.
ESUPS was proud to be able to contribute to the discussions on these topics, being active both online and on-site in Geneva.
In particular we presented and officially re-launched STOCKHOLM, our stock mapping platform. We showcased the latest features of the platform, allowing attendees at our exhibition stand to explore the redesigned interface, added functionalities, and improved navigation.
Throughout the event, ESUPS also contributed to several sessions.
Hacia la localización en América Latina
30 April 2024
In partnership with the Logistics Cluster, ESUPS attended a panel discussion on the localisation of the humanitarian supply chain and logistics preparedness in Latin America and the Caribbean. The session provided a platform to exchange experiences and best practices, emphasizing the importance of enhancing localisation efforts in the region.
Session outcomes:
- Strong local supply chains can boost emergency preparedness in Latin America, through enhanced coordination with partners like HULO and ESUPS.
- In developing preparedness strategies for the region, joint activities and action plans with the Logistics Cluster can deliver more efficient emergency responses.
- Transparent and modern logistics management systems, as seen in Guatemala by CONRED, can improve response capacity and decision-making for better preparedness.

ESUPS participated in a joint session to highlight how digitalisation can support more efficient and effective disaster management. Using the scenario of a category 5 cycle in Vanuatu, the session demonstrated the interoperability between digital tools, including the STOCKHOLM platform, to optimise humanitarian logistics activities.
Session outcomes:
- Since HNPW 2023, integration between LogIE, STOCKHOLM, ASYREC and the Humanitarian Logistics Databank has been strengthened. LogIE now provides a single point of access to stock-related logistics information from all four platforms.
- NDMO/NDMAs can utilise the platforms to develop a data-driven disaster management approach across the preparedness, anticipation and response phases.
- Deeper collaboration among humanitarian actors and data-sharing through technological applications will lead to better outcomes for communities affected by natural disasters and emergencies.

ESUPS would like to thank all collaborators for their valuable contributions to the success of the session:
